Lazy Summery Monday: Tomato / Strawberry Gazpacho, or When the Cook (that is me!) Wants to Stay Away from the Kitchen!

Et oui, today is a holiday in France: Lundi de Pâques! All the family is at home, we have eaten our "agneau de sept heures" (seven-hour lamb) and today the cook wants to rest!! Yes, rebellion!! What is worse, it is sunny, warm....and I don't want to risk divorce because my husband wants to go out.."Why don't you come with me for a walk to the Bois de Boulogne?"
So, for lunch I will improvise Spanish tapas (yes, I bought yesterday the best Jabugo you can imagine!...well, in my humble opinion, Pata Negra is the best ham in the world!) and for a prologue for our Spanish promenade....Gazpacho, with a touch of strawberries and mint!! That's all! Oh, yes!! I forgot...y Viva España y Olé!!!

I'm not giving my recipe here, with my personal touch, because this gazpacho will be included in my Menu Malbec..yes, you know Argentinian cooking is heavily influenced by the Spanish and Italian one...
But, I'm not deserting you....
Here goes the link to an excellent recipe made by one of the best bloggers I know "Miriam, from Madrid" and her blog "The Winter Guest"
Check out her Cherry Gazpacho here, and you will thank me for that!

The idea of cold soup never appealed to me, but somehow you manage to make everything so beautiful, that I am ready to give this a try :)... but only if you make it.

If I lived near the bois de Boulogne and all these magnificent parks and it was a beautiful day out, nothing would keep me behind the stove!
