Chocoholic? Bruges ( Part II )

I hope you have enjoyed the first part of my tour, around Bruges here....so now let's get serious....the stuff is chocolate !!! Belgium has the reputation for making the finest chocolate in the world...due to the quality of ingredients, and traditional way of manufacture (still "by hand") Even though it is more expensive than other types of chocolate, you won't be disappointed !! Belgium chocolate lives up to its reputation for quality !

I think I don't have much to add...just look at the photos and indulge !!!

Is your city here?

Chocolates for Bloggers !!!

Truffles, anyone?

This is chocolate for artisans and chefs (and for us!) from Barry-Callebout, one of the top gourmet chocolate manufacturers. Other famous brands are Leonidas, Neuhaus, and Godiva.

Chocolate sea-shells

Flowers !

Well, I think I have to stop here....call my doctor ! a shrink !!!! I'm becoming chocoholic.....

I'm so envious! I was just in Bruges this past December and I L-O-V-E-D it there! Talk about chocolate and waffle heaven. If you're still there, here are a couple restaurant recommendations: Den Dyver and Koq au Vin. If you go to Den Dyver, make sure you take reservations - they're required and they only book one party per table per night. Koq au vin is a bit away from the main square area but I had one of my best meals during my two week stay in Europe there.

Also, I just noticed that you're Argentinian - I'm going to be travelling to Argentina later this year. Mind if I contact you with questions when I start planning?

I saw the movie In Bruges - and have since wanted to go - am going to Paris instead, but nice to visit via your blog. Your photos are awesome.

Oh, Dios Mio! Por unos instantes he estado en la Gloria, rodeada de chocolate en sus más deliciosas formas!
Sweet Mother of God! Cristina, what are you trying to do to us?? I have had the pleasure of Belgian chocolate (I had the ones in your first pic - lovely design and unearthly chocolate)but you are right - they are not cheap! One of the last things I want to eat before I exit this earth is a Leonidas truffle. Thanks for the vicarious pleasure of your Bruges extravaganza :)

Wow! I wouldn't be able to resist those Classic Wheels and orange slices (a favourite!). As for the @ chocolate, they need an alphabet with it and I'd buy the set to make up my Twitter name!

Oh, no !!
